About

We Are The Bantry Boys

The Bantry Boys are an Irish Folk Band founded in 1981 by brothers Jimmy and Bill Dwyer, Mike Brady, and Chris Bugge. Eric Pedrotty joined the group in 2009. Jake Garbe (vocals, guitar, & bouzouki) made the band a five-piece from 2022 through 2023 until his music career took him overseas. The current core of band mates are Jimmy Dwyer (vocals & guitar), Bill Dwyer (vocals, bodhran & assorted percussion), Mike Brady (vocals & bass), and Eric Pedrotty (vocals, pennywhistle, mandolin & bodhran) that you see and hear today. Former members include Chris Bugge, Eileen Ivers, Bruce Nelson, and Jake Garbe.

The Bantry Boys are committed to “Bringing Irish Music To The Jersey Shore” and can be found sharing their live tunes throughout the counties of Monmouth and Ocean in New Jersey. If you’re out and about, you’ll discover them taking up residency at St. Stephen’s Green Publick House (commonly known as “The Green”) in Spring Lake a few times a month.

The Boys are diverse too. You can catch members sitting in with Irish Sessions at The Green or hosting a night of “Kerry O’Keigh“.
